A Website for Everyone
Our ongoing aim is to make the MMTVC website clearer, easier to navigate, and more usable for learners, staff, applicants, and visitors — including people who use assistive technology.

This statement describes our accessibility aims in plain language. It does not claim WCAG certification, perfect accessibility, or a specific compliance level unless that has been independently verified.
Maasai Mara Technical & Vocational College (“MMTVC”) aims to make this website usable by as many people as reasonably possible — including learners, applicants, staff, partners, and visitors with diverse needs.
We are working to improve accessibility on an ongoing basis. This statement describes our aims and current approach. It does not claim full compliance with a specific standard unless that has been independently verified.
Accessibility principles
These principles guide how we aim to design, build, and maintain the MMTVC website.
-
Inclusive by aim
We aim to support people with a wide range of abilities, devices, and connectivity, where reasonably possible.
-
Clear and readable
We aim to use plain language, logical structure, and readable typography to help people find and understand information.
-
Keyboard and assistive technology
We aim to support keyboard navigation and common assistive technologies on core website features, where reasonably possible.
-
Visible focus and contrast
We aim to provide visible focus indicators and sufficient colour contrast in theme components, where reasonably possible.
-
Reduced motion
We aim to respect reduced-motion preferences and limit unnecessary animation, where reasonably possible.
Accessibility practices
Examples of practices we aim to follow as the website develops:
- Using headings, landmarks, and labels to support navigation and screen readers where reasonably possible
- Providing text alternatives for meaningful images where they are supplied
- Designing forms and buttons to be keyboard reachable with visible focus states
- Building responsive layouts intended to reduce horizontal scrolling on common screen sizes
- Reviewing new pages, components, and media as they are added to the website
- Listening to accessibility feedback and working to address reported barriers where reasonably possible
We are working to improve accessibility across this website on an ongoing basis. Some areas may not yet offer the same level of access as others.
Where reasonably possible, we aim to address barriers when they are reported to us. Known limitations may include older pages, third-party content, embedded media, PDFs, or documents that have not yet been reviewed for accessibility.
This list is not exhaustive. If you encounter a barrier that is not described here, please tell us through our Contact Us page.
Accessibility feedback
If you have difficulty using any part of this website, or if you have suggestions that could help us improve accessibility, we welcome your feedback.
Please use our Contact Us page and tell us which page or feature you were using, what happened, and how we can help. We aim to review accessibility feedback where reasonably possible.
